Self Paced Courses
The Online laser safety training consists of self-paced courses that are based on the ANSI Z136 laser safety series of standards. These courses are designed for you to fit into your schedule and provide the flexibility that you need. You can enter the course from home or work. Courses can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a 30-day period.
Laser Safety Officer (LSO) Training:
Manufacturing/Industrial Environments
This course is for anyone appointed to be the LSO that is required to implement a safety program in a manufacturing environment where lasers are used for cutting, welding, drilling, marking, etching, laser alignment, metrology, and fabrication. This course is based on the ANSI Z136.9 for Safe Use of Lasers in Manufacturing Environments standard.
Medical Environments
This course is for anyone appointed to be the LSO that must implement a safety program in a medical environment such as a hospital operating room, ambulatory surgical center, or medical spa. It is designed for private practice physician, dental, or veterinarian offices at any location where a health care laser system is used on human or animal tissue. This course is based on the ANSI Z136.3 for Safe Use of Lasers in Health Care standard.
Laser Safety Training for Employees Working in:
Manufacturing Environments
This course is for personnel working in a manufacturing environment that may be in and around the laser-controlled area where lasers are used for cutting, welding, drilling, marking, etching, laser alignment, metrology, and fabrication. After completion of this training employees will have a fundamental understanding of laser safety. This course is based on the ANSI Z136.9 for Safe Use of Lasers in manufacturing Environments standard.
Medical Environments
This course is for operating room nurses, surgical technologists, and allied healthcare personnel working in the laser treatment-controlled area in a health care environment. After completion of this course medical staff will have a fundamental understanding of laser safety. This course is based on the ANSI Z136.3 for Safe Use of Lasers in Health Care standard.
